The HLC Essential Living Program (HELP) is a structured mirco-relief initiative that provides small-scale financial assistance for essential household bills within Lee and Macon County.

This program provides one pregnant or parenting family per month with $75 toward an essential household bill to reduce short-term financial stress impacting maternal and family mental health.

Applicants must be pregnant or parenting, reside within the HLC service area, and be experiencing short-term hardship related to an essential bill.

Families may receive assistance once within a 12-month period.

One family is selected each month based on urgency, impact on the household, and available program funds.

Applications are open from the 1st through the 10th of each month. Selected applicants are notified by the 20th.

Payment is made directly to the service provider whenever possible. Cash payments are not provided.
