Current & Upcoming Initiatives

Community Engagement & Professional Presence
At the HLC Maternal & Family Mental Health Research Center, our work goes beyond research, we believe in being present, building trust, and creating change in the communities we serve. We are proud to engage with the public through local and national events that amplify maternal and family mental health. We have had had visible presence at conferences, wellness fairs, and community-based gatherings, including the Macon County Mental Health Fair and the AMCHP Annual Conference. We have also authored family mental health topics in outlets such as Women in Higher Education (WIHE). Whether through speaking engagements, vendor tables, or collaborative workshops, we show up to share our work, connect with families, and listen to the voices that matter most.
